Shayna Kay (Sivajyoti)
Shayna Kay (Sivajyoti) is an accomplished jazz musician trained at Humber College, Toronto Canada. In 2010 she received world class guidance in nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, in Toronto, Canada, and went on to earn the designation, Certified Holistic Nutritionist. She spent most of her time in India between 2011-2018 and studied North Indian Classical Music and yoga finding welcoming communities to help guide her search. While living in Kolkata and Santiniketan, Sivajyoti was led into an infinite space of spiritual music and vibration formally learning Indian classical singing under her Guru, Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharyya, one of India’s premiere vocalists. In 2014 she traveled to the Sivananda Ashram in Neyyar Dam completing her Yoga Teacher Training Course, returning in subsequent years as a teacher's assistant to help train aspiring yogis. Sivajyoti has led yoga classes and workshops in Canada, India, Japan and the United States helping her become a respected and well-rounded lifestyle teacher.
