Children can practice the teachings of yoga in a fun, inspiring, and energetic way in the peaceful environment of a classical yoga studio.
We offer practice of asana (yoga postures, twice daily), meditation, calmness and relaxation, compassion, healthy living, nature studies, art projects, and outside games and play time in local parks.
A Typical Day
9:00am Children’s Morning Satsang: Singing, stories, meditation
10:00am Yoga Class
11:00am Activity (such as nature walk, art project, etc.)
12:00pm Lunch, cleanup and reading
1:00–1:30pm Community service project
2:30–3:30pm Yoga class and relaxation
3:30–4:00pm Children’s get-together
EXAMPLE: Tell the story of Hanuman. Discuss the virtues of strength/bravery/courage. Do a related art project (mask or sculpture). Do a related drama exercise.
