Savor a soul-touching performance of vocal music on the occasion of Durga Puja by internationally-reputed musician Shrimati Esha Bandyopadhyay (www.eshavocal.com) of Calcutta. The San Francisco Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center is delighted to be on her fall tour in North America

Specializing in Classical (Khayal), Semi-classical (Thumri, Dadra, Chaiti, Kajri, Bhajan) and old Bengali songs (Bangla Ragpradhan, Puratani, Agomoni, Nazrulgeeti) over decades of training under Vidushi Krishna Dasgupta & Acharya Biman Mukherjee, Esha has been lauded for her Matri Vandana in the form of a collage of musical forms which cater to Bengali audience as well as music-lovers from other communities.

Raga Durga, lyrical compositions describing the multidimensional elements of the Mother Goddess, Agomoni songs which welcome Her for her annual "home-coming" and other numbers distinguish Esha's collage.

With Indranil Mallick on tabla, plus harmonium accompaniment.
