Sivaratri - Night of Lord Siva

Tuesday, February 13, 2018
9:00 pm–6:00 am

All are invited to celebrate Sivaratri, the Night of Siva, one of the most auspicious events on the Hindu calendar. Spend the night chanting Siva's name and participating in puja. Stay for part of the evening or all the way through till dawn.

Sivaratri is one of the main spiritual festivals in India. Siva symbolises the transformative energy of the universe. On a personal level, Siva's energy removes our lower nature, making way for positive growth. Siva is very compassionate, ever ready to help those who tune to Him with respect. The repetition of the Siva mantra throughout the night generates a vibrant and pure spiritual energy.

We begin chanting at 9:00pm.

Four pujas will be celebrated throughout the night: 10:00pm with milk, midnight with yogurt, 2:00am with ghee and 4:00am with honey.

Share a victory feast at dawn.

Offerings of fruit, sweets and flowers are welcome.

Om Namah Sivaya!
