Switch from a pain mindset to a health mindset. Demystify pain; learn about the nervous system and the complexity of the brain's responses to stimuli. Develop excellent self-management skills, including breathing, relaxation and meditation. Content of the weekend integrates current pain science with an understanding of the lived experience of pain, concluding with instructions in evidence-based and effective techniques to meet your needs.

10:30am Check-in

10:45am-12:15pm  Gentle Asana Class, with breath awareness practice

12:30pm  Vegetarian lunch provided

1:30-3:00pm  Talk: Moving at the Edge of Pain: Practice, Patence, Persistance, Compassion

3:15-4:15pm  Explore the Breath: Pranayama Practice

Please plan to take it easy in the evening.


Sunday • 7/14

10:30am-noon  Gentle Asana Class, with body awareness technique

12:15pm  Vegetarian lunch provided

1:15-2:45pm  Talk: Observing the Internal Experience 

3:00-4:00pm Awareness Practices

4:15pm on  Individual 15-minute followups for each participant
