Getting Started

Welcome to Sivananda Yoga!

We encourage you to join us for one of our FREE monthly Open House gatherings (generally the first Saturday of the month) where you will get a clear introduction to the five principle of the yogic lifestyle, our Center and teachers, plus a sample class.

 Complete beginners are welcome.

Our beginners course, Yoga 1, is the best way to get a good foundation for your Yoga practice. Learn the main benefits of each posture and the fundamental principles of Yoga with lots of personal attention in a non-competitive environment. You will be introduced to 12 classic postures (asanas), basic breathing and relaxation techniques.

If you would prefer to try a class first, you are welcome to join any All-levels Class (offered several times daily). The first class is FREE.
