Experience the joy of baking delicious vegan treats. This three-hour baking workshop will demystify the techniques of baking without dairy, focusing on cake and cookies. You will understand how to substitute eggs in recipes and the various types of oil that can be used instead of butter. Together we will prepare tried-and-true recipes and practice converting a traditional cookie recipe to vegan. Our philosophy on baking is one of simplicity, use the fewest number of ingredient possible, creating tasty easy-to-digest treats everyone can enjoy.
All the recipes made during the course will be free of dairy products. We use natural and unrefined sugars.
Please note that we are not a gluten-free kitchen; wheat and dairy are used and stored in our kitchen. Please speak with us if you have a severe allergy so we can take this into consideration.
Anandamayi graduated from the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, CA in 2014 and completed her ATTC there in 2015. She got a Yoga Nidra certification in 2016. She is a tireless karma yogi, currently serving at the San Francisco Center. She especially enjoys teaching, chanting, cooking, and gardening.
